MONMOUTH, Ore.—Western Oregon University baseball coach Kellen Walker announced the signing of Jayden Hanna to a National Letter of Intent during the November signing period.

Hanna is a former Westview High School standout and current infielder at Lane Community College. Hanna helped lead the Titans to a third-place finish in the NWAC last season. His defensive efforts led to a NWAC South Region Gold Glove last year.

Hanna was also a member of the Great West League champion Medford Rogues in 2017.

"We have been following Jayden since he was a junior at Westview High School in Portland and are ecstatic to finally get him on our campus," Walker said. "He is an elite defender at second base and will make an immediate impact for us defensively, offensively and most importantly as a leader on and off the field."

WOU went 31-15 overall last season with a 27-12 mark in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference to win the league title. The GNAC championship was the 14th title in the last 16 seasons for the program

"Jayden has the highest character, he is an incredible student and driven to be successful," Walker said. "He is a huge addition to an already talented WOU roster. We're excited to have Jayden on board."
