VanOrd hat trick lifts Titans

MEDFORD — Danielle VanOrd scored a hat trick, including two goals in the final 21 minutes of the game, to lead Lane to a 4-0 victory over Rogue in an NWAC women’s soccer game on Wednesday.

VanOrd scored her first goal in the 26th minute off a pass from Shelbi Phillips to give the Titans a 1-0 lead at halftime.

She added a goal in the 69th minute and another in the 86th, sandwiched around a goal by Calysta Susu Mago in the 78th minute.

Hanalyn Sypher earned the shutout for Lane, getting three saves. Rogue goalkeeper Lilly Barrett had 12 saves.
