Unbeaten Umpqua nips Lane in overtime

ROSEBURG — Taylor Stricklin scored seven of Umpqua’s 11 points in overtime as the Riverhawks beat Lane, 78-73, in Northwest Athletic Conference women’s basketball Wednesday.

Brian Thames led unbeaten and South Division-leading Umpqua (11-0, 8-0 NWAC South) with 28 points and 10 rebounds.

Rachel Fielder paced the Titans (7-3, 6-2) with 21 points and was followed by Megan Still, Sarah Hall and Sierra Carrier with 12 points each.
