Titans sweep pair at East Region Invite

PASCO, Wash. - The Lane Community College baseball team swept a doubleheader on the first day of the East Region Invitational Tournament at Columbia Basin College on Friday.

Joe Offer hit a bases-loaded triple in the fifth inning as the Titans beat the host team 7-5. Quinn Peck had three RBIs, and Andrew Schumacher was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Jesse Long and Ran Berger each went 2-for-2, and Reed Nicholson pitched seven scoreless innings as LCC beat Big Bend 5-0 in the nightcap. Long had a double and a solo homer, and Berger drove in two runs.
