Titans rally in eighth for win against Grays Harbor

PASCO, Wash. - Brooks McKee went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs and John Miles was 2-for-4 with a solo home run to lead Lane Community College to a 12-11 victory over Grays Harbor in the finale of the East Region Invitational baseball tournament on Sunday at Columbia Basin College.

The Titans (9-7) trailed 11-8 entering the eighth inning but got singles from McKee, Kyle Hansen and Miles and a double by Brendan Hindle to tie the score.

Kevin Shepherd scored the winning run on an error when Grays Harbor's shortstop overthrew the catcher on a force play at the plate in the eighth.

Reed Nicholson tossed four scoreless innings in relief to earn the victory for the Titans , and Larson Kohler pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
