Titan Distance squad qualifies four, Women Pole Vault gets one

SALEM, OR - Five Titan Track & Field athletes hit qualifiers for the NWAACC Championships in Spokane, WA on 5/21-22. Sophomore, Tara Carlton, started the night off by clearing 10'-6" (3.20m) to finish second and eclipse the 9'-9.5" (2.74m) qualifier.  Freshman, Michael Maisonville (pictured), ran his first 10k ever in 33:12 to easily make the 35:02 qualifying mark. The 16:01 5k qualifier wasn't a challenge with some strong performances by third place Jacob Berkner (15:20-PR) and fifth place Sam Van de Velde (15:29-PR).  Elias Gedyon is opening up his season using the 1500 and 800 for workout purposes. He had a good start in the 1500 running 3:56, just 3 seconds off the winner.  The rest of the meet will continue on Saturday, with field events starting @ 10am and running starting @ noon.  For more results check out the link.
