NWAACC multi-event enters second day
Clackamas’ Addie Gallagher scored 2,457 points and Spokane’s Spencer Wordell scored 3,399 points to each lead the NWAACC’s multi-event track and field championships after the first day at Lane Community College.
Gallagher leads the women’s race after the best shot put of the day, throwing 34 feet, 6 3/4 inches.
Southwestern Oregon’s Kristina Hossley, a North Bend alumna, is in third with 2,389 points; Churchill graduate Samantha Poppe is in seventh (2,299) for Lane and North Eugene graduate Mariah Villa is ninth with 2,166 points for Clackamas.
For the men, Wordell had the day’s best marks in the high jump (6-1 1/2) and 100 (11.35 seconds) and was second in the 400 to lead. Lane’s David Formolo is in third entering day two with 3,125 points, running 11.54 in the 100. Teammate Trevor Prater is in seventh.
