LCC women hit the target in rout

Sarah Hall scored 18 points, and Lane shot 51 percent from the field in a 98-49 victory over Portland in an NWAC Southern Region women’s basketball game on Saturday.

The Titans (14-5, 6-1 Southern Region) scored the first 11 points of the game, then used a 37-10 run in the third quarter to put the game away. Sierra Carrier came off the bench to score 17 points and Khadija Smith added 13. Amber Lease had 10 points and seven assists.

Amber Szmyd scored 15 points to lead Portland (6-13, 2-6).
