LCC ties Columbia Basin in women's soccer match

Lane Community College scored 20 seconds into the game but had to settle for its second consecutive tie against East Region leader Columbia Basin, a 1-1 deadlock Friday at Lane.

Kayla Stewart scored off an assist from Katlyn Shaw for the Titans , who are in second place in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges South Region with a 4-2-4 record in league games and a 5-2-4 mark overall.

Jen Johnston scored in the 19th minute for Columbia Basin, which played Lane to a 0-0 tie last weekend.

The Titans will play host to Spokane today at noon.
