Lane women shut down Portland

Emily Hillestad and Maile Sur each scored in the second half to lift the Lane women’s soccer team to a 2-0 Northwest Athletic Conference victory at Portland Community College.

Hillestad scored in the 52nd minute off an assist by Sur, and Sur scored in the 73rd minute assisted by Ally King.

Abigail Diller recorded three saves in earning the shutout in goal for the Titans (10-3-2, 8-1-0 NWAC South Region), who kept PCC (1-10-2, 1-9-0) goalkeeper Cheyanne Lambert busy with 10 saves.
