Lane women put end to Umpqua’s perfect season

Sarah Hall scored 21 points to lead five Lane women’s basketball players in double figures Wednesday as the Titans knocked off Umpqua, 86-79, in a NWAC South Region game.

The Titans (21-6, 13-2 South Region) ran their winning streak to seven games in becoming the first team to beat the RiverHawks (27-1, 14-1) this season.

Sierra Carrier had 17 points for Lane, which won despite being outrebounded, 45-24.

Rachel Fielder had 15 points for the Titans and Amber Lease and Taeli Carrillo added 13 points apiece.

Bria Thames had 21 points for Umpqua.
