Lane women finish second in South

GRESHAM — The Lane women’s basketball team ran its winning streak to eight games Saturday as it concluded its regular season with an 82-76 win over Mt. Hood on Saturday.

The Titans (22-6) finished second in the NWAC South Region at 14-2 and were the only team this season to beat first-place Umpqua (28-1, 15-1). Mt. Hood (12-14) finished fourth in the South Region at 9-7.

Taeli Carrillo led the Titans with 20 points. Sierra Carrier tallied 17 points for Lane, Sarah Hall had 14 points 10 rebounds, Rachel Fielder scored 16 points and Amber Lease handed out 12 assists.

Jessica Parker led Mt. Hood with 17 points.
