Lane women draw with Pierce in soccer

Clarissa Henderson’s second-half goal off of Danielle VanOrd’s assist helped the Lane women’s soccer team forge a 1-1 tie with visiting Pierce in a nonleague match Saturday.

The Titans outshot the Raiders 19-6 overall, but Pierce’s Kaitlyn Brantzeg had five of her six saves after Henderson’s goal at 48:59 had evened the score. Lane goalkeeper Hanalyn Sypher had two of her three saves down the stretch.

Lakeisha Rembert’s unassisted goal at 46:54 had given the Raiders a 1-0 lead.
