Lane Titans baseball falls twice to Chemeketa in doubleheader

Robbie Ahlstrom tossed a four-hit shutout, striking out eight, to lead Chemeketa to a 2-1 victory over Lane in the second game of an NWAC Southern Region baseball doubleheader on Friday.

The Storm also won the opener, getting a solo home run and a double from Andrew Ishi to get a 5-3 victory.

Ishi hit his home run in the first inning, and the Storm jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings before holding on. Tielar Murray and Hank Forrest had two hits apiece for Lane, which outhit Chemeketa 11-6. Jackson Soto hit a solo home run for the Titans.

In the second game, Austin Gerding singled home Logan Williams in the top of the seventh to give the Storm to the victory. Murray singled home Jayden Hanna in the fifth to give Lane a 1-0 lead.
