Lane takes two baseball games from SWOCC

Lane Community College moved over .500 in Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges baseball Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of visiting Southwestern Oregon Community College.

The Titans , who are third in the NWAACC's South Division, won the first game 4-2 and the second 3-0 to improve to 18-14 overall and 9-7 in the NWAACC. Southwestern Oregon is 3-18 and 1-13.

John Miles hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and Brooks McKee was 2-for-3 for the Titans in the first game.

Larson Kohler threw a four-hitter for Lane in the seven-inning second game, striking out four and walking one.

Jake Van Cleave and Kyle Hansen had two hits each to back Kohler's pitching.
