Lane splits two games with Linn-Benton

Sean O'Connor threw a three-hitter in the second game to give Lane Community College a split with Linn-Benton in a Northwest Athletic Association of Community College baseball doubleheader Saturday at Lane.

O'Connor struck out two and walked one for the Titans , who won the second game 11-1 in five innings to improve to 22-16 overall and maintain their hold on second place in the NWAACC's South Division with a 12-8 record.

Kevin Shepherd was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs, and Brendan Hindle had two hits in Lane's victory.

Linn-Benton won the first game 6-2 behind the pitching of Liam Baron, who allowed five hits in a complete game.

Mat Solders was 2-for-3 and drove in a run for Lane.
