Jimmy McDonald’s two-out two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning helped the Lane baseball team rally to a 3-2 win in the first game of a Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep against Mount Hood on Monday.

Jackson Soto had a pair of hits for the Titans (9-12, 3-2 NWAC) in the opener and pitcher Jesse Davis tossed 6 2/3 innings for the win against the Saints (5-15, 3-7).

The Titans won the second game 6-2 in seven innings, with Colton Sakamoto going 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs to raise his batting average to .303. Aaron Hutchinson pitched the seventh inning to pick up his second save of the day.
