Lane baseball swept by Mount Hood

SANDY — Lane College baseball faced two strong pitching performances by Mount Hood and were swept in a doubleheader at Sandy High School on Sunday.

Saints starter Chris Stone (2-2) allowed five unearned runs over eight innings while striking out 10 in a 10-5 victory in the first game. Mount Hood’s Trace Hokkanen (1-0) allowed four hits and one run over seven innings in a 3-1 victory in the second game.

In the second game, Lane’s Trysten DuMilieu (0-2) allowed three runs in five innings and took the loss, and Colton Sakamoto went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
