Lane baseball falls to Clark in 10 innings

VANCOUVER — Clark scored one run in the bottom of the eighth inning Tuesday to tie the score and then scored once in the bottom of the 10th inning for a 4-3 win over Lane in an NWAC baseball game.

Tielar Murray went 3-for-5 with a double to lead the Titans’ 10-hit attack. Colton Sakamoto had a solo home for Lane (9-13, 3-3 NWAC).

The Titans scored their first run in the sixth inning on a passed ball. In the eighth inning, Sakamoto led off with a home run to tie the score at 2-2. Lane took the lead later in the inning when Murray singled, went to second and third on an error and scored on a wild pitch.

The Penguins’ winning run in the 10th when Bryce Roesch singled with two out, advanced on two walks and scored on Cody Rice’s single.
