Lane advances to quarterfinals

TUKWILA, Wash. Katlyn Shaw scored the game-winning goal off a pass from Aile Johnston in the final minute of the second overtime to give Lane Community College a 2-1 victory over Tacoma Community College in an NWAACC first-round playoff game on Wednesday.

The Titans advanced to a quarterfinal game at Walla Walla at 11 a.m. Saturday.

McKenzie Fegles also scored for Lane, putting in a header off a corner kick by Shaw in the 43rd minute. Carissa Haelee of Tacoma scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute.
