Goodwin’s season-best 37 comes in Titans defeat

Keiron Goodwin scored a season-high 37 points, but Lane Community College’s comeback from a 13-point halftime deficit fell short in a 103-96 men’s basketball loss to South Puget Sound in Sunday’s consolation final of the eight-team Dale Bates Invitational hosted by the Titans.

Keaton McKay added 14 points, Tayler Marteliz had 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Tre’Var Holland notched 12 points and 10 boards for Lane (5-2). AJ Hodges scored 23 to lead the Clippers (4-4).

Cesar Sandoval scored 35 points to lead Spokane over Umpqua 107-102 in double overtime in the title game.
