Draw with Lane gives Clark title

Nora Goodrie earned the shutout, but Lane couldn’t break into the scoring column in a 0-0 tie with Clark that secured the NWAC Southern Region title for the Penguins on Saturday.

The draw gave Clark (14-2-1, 11-0-1) the regional title with 34 points. Lane (12-3-3, 10-1-1) finished second with 31 and will host an NWAC playoff game against the No. 3 team from the North Region on Wednesday. Clark earned a first-round bye with the regional title.
