Allred’s shutout gives LCC split with Chemeketa

SALEM — Scott Allred threw a shutout as Lane Community College beat Chemeketa 4-0 for a split of their doubleheader.

Allred struck out five and allowed six hits. Charlie Sauer hit a two-run double, and Joe Offer had a run-scoring double for LCC.

Lane’s Josh Orr allowed two earned runs in eight innings and struck out seven in the first game, but Chemeketa won 4-2.
