Coaching Staff
Head Coach Dean Stiles
Coach Stiles is entering his first season with the Titans. He comes to Lane Community College from the University of Oregon where he was an important figure in the resurgence of the Duck Baseball program after a 28-year hiatus. He was part of the legendary Coach George Horton's staff for the past three years. With the Ducks, Coach Stiles served as Bullpen/Pitching Coach and administrative assistant. During that time, seven Ducks were taken in the Major League Baseball draft.
Prior to his coaching stint at the University of Oregon, Stiles coached at Tualitin High School (Ore.), Crook County High School (Ore.), Summit High School (Ore.), and St. Joseph High School (Calif.). Stiles has also been a high school administrator, teacher, and coach in Oregon and California for more than 20 years.
In addition, Coach Stiles has headed several 16U Junior Olympic Teams and NTIS U.S.A. Baseball teams. He served as the General Manager for the Bend Bandits of the Western Baseball League before co-founding and coaching the Bend Elks of the highly touted West Coast Collegiate Baseball League.
Coach Stiles played infield at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, California before transferring to the University of Oregon where he finished his playing career. He currently resides in Eugene, Oregon with his wife Megan, sons Taylor (22) and Cooper (15), and daughter Chloe (17).
Assistant Coach Justin Filip
Assistant Coach Justin Filip is entering his third year with the Titan program. Filip serves as Director of Baseball Operations and infield coach. He also assists with recruiting. Born and raised in Michigan, Filip attended Brother Rice High School in Birmingham, Michigan, and later graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in psychology. Coach Filipspent seven years coaching at the high school level, including three years as Head Coach at Harrisburg High School.
Assistant Coach Jeff Lyle
Assistant Coach Jeff Lyle is entering his fourth season with the Titan program. Coach Lyle serves as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. He also assists with clinics at the University of Oregon, and works with prospects for USA Baseball. Prior to Lane, Lyle coached at Thurston High School in Eugene, Ore, and was an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves organization. A native of California, Lyle played at Merced Junior College and Hancock College before transferring to Fresno State where he finished his playing career.
Assistant Coach Steven Humble
Assistant Coach Steven Humble is entering his first year with the Titan program. Before Lane, Humble served as the catchers coach at the University of Illinois-Chicago under Coach Mike Dee. Coach Humble will serve as the Titans' catchers coach and assist with recruiting. Humble grew up in Eugene, Ore. and played at North Eugene High School. Following High School, he played in the NWAACC at Chemeketa Community College. Coach Humble comes to Lane after finishing his playing career at The University of Illinois-Chicago where he completed his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology.
Assistant Coach Dan Drullinger
Assistant Coach Dan Drullinger is enetering his frist year with the Titan program. Drullinger will serve as the bullpen coach and assistant pitching coach. He will also assist with recruiting. Coach Drullinger grew up in Portland, ORE. where he atteneded Central Catholic High School. After high school, Drullinger pitched for the Titans 2010 NWAACC runner-up team. He comes to Lane after finishing his playing career at Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota.
